yum

haha i remember this when you first made it a logn time ago. thanks for taking out the stupid screams haha

i guess there isnt much more for me to say, except that t his is a solid song. though the bass is still a little bit too spastic and really soft and weak. otherwise, gj :D

i cant wait to hear from you now that your out of garageband. have fun with reason!! [i use that too :D]

check my mac8 contest submission as well dawgg :)

Quarl responds:

Sure will man!

woahhh man

pretty sweet i gotta say. i love the glitching and the repetition of the samples, it all sounded really funky and rebellious, and definately nene-esque, gj on that!

just.. a little too random [oh crap i think i told u that before in a review a long time ago... and i know the response: that means less loogiesquared!!] well that criticism still stands haha

check my mac8 contest submission :)

loogiesquared responds:

LESS rondom?! that would make it LESS loogiesquared!
(deja vu, man)

POWER OVERWHELMING

this thing has got some serious fierceness to it i gotta say... lets go rape and pillage on the warpath bithcessss!

just, sometimes it seems like the elec. guitar gets off tempo lol. otherwise, tighttt :D

DarKsidE555 responds:

Well, we'll see when the game is done. :)

Naa, guitars are all fine with the beat. Don't worry about that. I check ya submission when I get the time for it! Thanks for checking!

yummm

not really dark techno, more jst like a dark breakbeat.

but, it did get the dark feeling across, gj! the clap-esque thing sounded really cool how it jst kinda breaks down, and the synthwork is very solid.

my suggestions: more ambient sounds to get the mechanical feeling across. and this is too repetitive IMHO, but that isn't a major problem. kudos on a sweet submission!

BlueSkar23 responds:

i checked out your mac8 song, it was pretty sweet. =) i have to say that its way better than my songs. Thats kinda obvious considering that i've just started making music lol

yumm

hah this sounds so old school, the cheesy trumpets and timpanis and all. which is tight!

just, some constructive crit: i think some elements were too soft like the triangle-esque thing and the cymbal... so some re-eqing may be nice on those too. and, the electric guitar thing at teh beginning sounds kinda painful lolll

but you definately got the triumphant, brave, EPIC, AWESOME feel right here dude! gj. btw, thanx for the rev, i left a response to answer ur question [hint i use reason =P]

itsameyayo responds:

Oh, haha, that's cool. Reason is a cool program, I'm just too lazy to earn the money for it, lol.

-Well, some of the elements of the song, I did want kinda soft, but the electric guitar, yeah, that's been tough. I'll have to re-EQ it again, but for the moment, I got a whole bunch of themes to write for this game, having 6 misfit superheros and all :P

ineresting

haha i didnt see a trance remix of this song coming, and it sounds pretty cool! just, for some reason it seems like the vox are half a beat off and the intense backtrack and beat sometimes drowned out the vox IMHO. Also, the "how you like it daddy"'s weren't at the right pitch so it sounded a little bit off because of that. thats my constructive crit, otherwise the instrumentation is rock solid! gj.

[check out my submission for the contest too haha]

Psybot responds:

hehe, dance is what i do =P

The vox is right where i want it. the thing about the pitch on the "how you like it daddy"... i found it pretty difficult to find the right tone for it. this is the best i could get.
but i know that its drowned sometimes by the beat. but i cant hear that as well as you can i guess.
i did my best on this peice and i guess you did the same.

i'll check it out!

cooool

i think the lead synth that plays two-noted chords is too loud and too dry for everything else. but otherwise, this was pretty cool! it reminds me of boards of canada - sounds kinda retro and modern at the same time, and a little bit enchanting like that. i think it repeated a little too much without significant change, though, but thats jst me. gj overall!

chec kmy stuff out plz :)

ericdrebin responds:

Yeah, you're right. I should've turned down the level on that. Unfortunately, my computer crashed and I lost most of my files, so this is how the song is going to have to stay.
Thanks for the Boards of Canada comparison, it's very flattering.
This song is a bit too repetitive. I originally intended on making it into a rap beat for a friend of mine, but it just didn't feel right, so I made it into a pop song thingey, instead.
Thanks for a kind and candid review.

very nice

the beat was nice, clear, and strong, i think the main thing to fix up is that it seemed to be a bit too loud compared to everything. the arrangement of notes was kinda strange, which is good in this case since it jst makes it sound kinda delirious lol. gj on that! [caffeine? i don tthink this one.]

check my stuff out plz :) [in terms of hiphop i've done one thing... it may make you lol]

RapFiend responds:

Absolutely I agree! I blame the shitty mix on how it was encoded!

immersive

the soundscapes you made in this one were really nicely textured, and the piano stutters/noise/volume modulation [like when some pad stutters at 1:18... that was cool] throuhgout the piece really makes this sound distrubing. i think to improve it you should make better use of bass to make an earth-shattering feel. but really good ambient! it really gets the mood on, and thats what i think makes it great.

BAL-Ambi responds:

thank you for the review and i see what you mean about the bass but i didnt want to over power it so people couldnt hear the treble as a good song as both bass and treble am i right? so i decided to balance it out well :)

thanks again for the review

keep up your good work mate!

and ill try the same!

tasty

this sounded really nice, its just that the eqing is too treble-heavy. im barely hearing the bass drums and the bassline at all and it sounds really airy because of that, but it did set a very nice atmosphere with my 5.1 speakers!! :D gj.

i loved the piano/glitch interlude at the beginning, too. very nice! jst get the bass up plz it sounds really ethereal like this but you can get hte best of both worlds :)

check my stuff out plz!!

Davirus responds:

The treble could be for the forced compression.
Anyway, thanks for commenting and the vote =3

Glad to know it worked on your 5.1
Maybe I will do another song taking in consideration the bass suggestion n_n

Thankies!
