[Settled Flames]

ehh

the melody was a little disturbing/jarring for hte first few seconds.. but then it jst goes over and over again.

the drums and melody are just the same throughout the entire song with very minimal change. repetitiveness could be a good thing, dont get me wrong; its just that this track didnt really appeal to me because the drum work there was was bland and the melody uninteresting, to be honest. sorry if i sound brutal its constructive criticism :)

very nice!

this was pretty good, the beat was strong and the synths were nice. i like how u did that little choppy thing on the lead synth. my only complaint is that im jst sick of that melody, ive heard it so many times its so unoriginal now, but the way the song was made was really sweet. gj!!

yeah, this was pretty cool. i agree with the guy below me that sometimes the piano was a bit loud. whatever distortion was on the recording made the piano sound cool, though :D i like how the trancey part mimics the piano part, but the way the notes are arranged are different. my only complaints are that some of the techno elements are hugely overused in other songs [like teh bassline thing playing in triplets, it almost annoys me now lol], docking originality, and some of the piano melody could have been improved a bit.

IMO i think there could have been a greater techno:piano ratio, or maybe find a way to incorporate both at one time. that would be pretty cool if u ask me :D

ya that background thing your talking about thats in a lot of songs is called "erogate" but in this song i actually made from scratch using a high bleep sound but puting in a low octave.

but ya sounds too much like the "erogate " i should have used a different sound.

Ya parkour is fun, i can do a fronthandflip, a frontflip with no hands on flat ground. Cant backflip yet, and me and buddies love running around jumping far and high gaps.

i guess for a loop this is okay. i think that there needed to be more bass, and everything overall jst sounded too high-freq. the synth could use some work if u ask me, but it might jst be me. well gj :)

i thought this was pretty good:)

the ppl below me, i dont see what the big deal about the mastering is, it seems mostly good to me. Although sometimes the synths get some noise, i dont see that as a major problem.

i like the drums and i like how all the synths complemented each other and weren't very generic, the constant wah-ing was a nice touch too. the song had emotion! keep it up :)

yeah, i agree

i liked the arrangement of the piano notes and i think the beat matched the song, somewhat. as sad as that loop was, though, i think its waaay too repetitive, and nothing really happens in the song except the piano comes in and then the drums come in. add some variety in the notes/drums, add some pads/synths to give it an ambience, and the song could be waaay cooler.

in terms of ur instruments, the piano sounds a bit too... fake. all the notes are the same mechanical speed, the same volume, nobody plays like that. It could also use a little reverb to give it depth, like im listening to someone playin a piano. itll make it way more interesting and emotional.

the drums also seemed stock and the beat could have been more interesting.

overall, this was okay, but it could have been better with a little tweaking.

i like the absence of that annoying trance synth that every trance song ever uses. :D though this seems really generic, when u make the full thing id like to see more originality. btw i think the bass synth could be better. otherwise keep it up :D

i liked this once it got to the middle where all the synths kick in, it was relaxing and nice to listen to :)

for criticisms [constructive, of course],

sometimes the synths werent synchronized with each other, so that could use work. the bassline seemed too simplistic at the beginning and stayed in the same key, making the emotions from ur other instruments kinda weak. But as the song goes on it sounds nice/relaxing. The drum programming could use work, and i think some pads/more reverb could make this song have a deeper/more immersive atmosphere. Also, the piano repeatedly got cut off, which was kinda annoying but okay.

the synth at the beginning that pans a lot was really cool! i think you should have let it hang on throughout the entire song, if u ask me.

i think that the way the first drums were distorted seemed a little out of place from the euphoric atmosphere at the beginning. later on, the drums change, and theyre fine, but they dont vary enough for my liking. also i think that itd be cooler if ur drum patterns were more complex than what you have right now.

whenever the bass kicked in, the audio clipped a lot, but i dont know if its jst my headfones, but the bass and the synth fx you used were very cool.

i didnt like how the song jst broke down as it progressed; at the beginning, you had a awhole atmosphere of elements, but by the end, all i get is an awkward drum pattern.

overall, this was pretty cool but the lack of variation, mastering problems (i think), and the steady decline of coolness from the beginning makes this piece worse than it could be, though it has the potential to be super awesome with some reworkin. anyway, good job bro!! (and check out my stuff... make do on ur promise :D)

Yeah, the mastering was horrible. I was too lazy to master it properly. I didn't really try to hard on this song. It was just an experiment for me.
