once the bass kicked in it was actually pretty cool. i think it would be better if you added some soft pads to emphasize teh dramatic feel of this song. also the lead synth was okay but i think that there could be better. i dont know what though ;)

the background percussion/ambiance of the song is really good. i think the main thing to improve is that synth that comes in at :41, its just not the right sound. maybe some dramatic violin chords or something. and make the volume increase as the note holds longer for the first one, start loud and soften really quickly for the second. and some reverb. thats at least what i'd do to make it really dramatic and cool.

Thanks for the taking the time to listen and review the track. I'll keep in mind those suggestions going forward.
I tried violins in the earlier phases of writing this but found the violin to draw too much attention. I was shooting to keep it minimalistic-ish but at the same time have a few things going on in the background but have it not be too apparent - if that makes any sense.
In any event thanks, I'll check out your stuff when I have a bit more time :)

ok, i liked the arrangement of the notes, it was pretty nice =] also, although sometimes the low chords made it seem muddy and sometimes it became so high that the song lacked bass, the bassline was solid. the things i think can be improved:
1. the kick just didn't seem to fit. id try one that doesn't have that sort of high twang going on.
2. the snare seemed a bit weak but the way it was used was good
3. the lead saw synth is a bit too cliched already, imo. also i think a different synth would be better, though i don't know what specifically. just something about that trance synth just didnt sound 100% right to me.
overall, not too bad ;)

idk if its my lame earbuds since im not at my house, but the bass seemed a tad too weak. I think you should experiment with some panning because it all sounded mono and i think it would be uber cool if there were elements in different places. also, i jst thought ur main synth was too cliched, that usual trance synth that ive come to hate =[

the first synth is just flat out annoying, sounds like ur in some bizzare carnival or something fcked like that. the second one that comes in [i assume an electric guitar-ish thing or something] is way too distorted and harsh to do anyting but hurt =[ the beat was stale, just a bass drum and a stereotypical clap. idk i just didnt like this, sorry. though one good thing was the little strums and then the really high off-key synth, it actualyl sounded okay the first few times.

everything on this song was polished and sounded nice. just, imo the lead synth is kind of annoying and later on, in the second half of the song, that saw synth is just so overused! think of something different plz :P

ugh, the drums sound so soft and weak and overall cliched and repetitive. also ur bassline was really weak in the beginning and the next synth that came in also sounded lame. the pads were nice, but they cant stand alone and they dont really complement the synths u already have. imo this could be improved. change the bassline and the bass synth itself, they just sound weak. maybe add some effects to ur main synth like reverb or something because it just sounds weak, and make ur drums more intense. maybe then ill feel more turbocharged. srry if im harsh, jst constructive criticism.

i love the song, but this could be better
ill just review how you made the song, since any ff fan knows this song was good =]
the way the piano notes are arranged is just so robotic and the tempo doesnt change much so it just doesnt sound very cool or realistic. also, the reverb effect could have been better, as of now it just makes it sound worse imo. though i liked the soft pad behind the piano, it made the song sound more emotional. and one last thing, it sounds to me like some of the chords and stuff are simplified--if ur gonna do it digitally, dont do that! though this song was my favorite final fantasy song =]
