nice

this was pretty chill. my only suggestion is that the drums sound almost too perfect... that computer generated sound. rough them up a bit!

hello p4c,
i have to agree with you..Drums are sequenced (as the rest) that's why the sound is too perfect: rimtically and with almost any dynamics.
I'm working to get better :)
Thanks for cheking it out.

haha kinda spastic, but i like it

this was pretty cool. like how its all chopped up, and that random flutey sample. mixes interestingly.

work on mastering and beat, but the melodies=good.

yeah, everything sounded so high and airy, but i dont think these need to be real instruments. just have a greater variety on it, stronger bass.

also this is in dire need of a better beat than that. its so soft, and even at that, its bad since the samples are just lame and unedited.

melodywise, i thought this was very decent. gj on that :)

TheRamener responds:

thanks :) i don't have very many instruments available to me on garageband as my jampacks have not come across yet (bt). I don't tend to use loops (although the drum part in this is one. my other song on ng is entirely written by me.)

anyhow, thank you for the suggestions!

ew.

eh, even for a drum loop, this was lame. all the samples were weak and just slapped on randomly. to top it all off, they were loops that just are played at teh same speed. meh. u can do better than that.

its okay, but you need more than hawt drums.

ok, you got the drums down, but ur missing the bass, and any other elements apart from random synth falls and some really soft chords for about 8 measures.

also, although in this state it is very repetitive, with some actual synths and stuff playing along, the beats turn out to have a pretty good variety. i thought the beats were very decent.

Missing the bass? Do you have crappy PC speakers or something? There is a big booming 808 bass in there... I will admit my phone can't pick it up, but any half decent speakers can hear it...

its a drumfunk dnb track, its about atmosphere, sub bass, and hectic drums.. not everyones taste though, thanks for the review :)

ditto billtog :)

hehe yeah, ill have to agree with the guy below me :D

though if you want a suggestion, i say lay off some of the crazy effects on the vox :)

bleh

i think the piano sounded too robotic and the notes themselves were just kind of wandering around, didnt really sound cool because of taht. but the beat was nice enough, and i think that, with a little bit more attention to detail and redone notes, the piano melody could have been better. Those bass strings that came in also should be louder imo, but they couldve been stronger if they interacted with the piano melody more. w/evs, this wasnt too bad.

pretty cool.

the intro waas really nice. though the pad that came in after seemed too loud, and the lead synth [the high one that folllows that electric-guitar-esque thing] is lame on its own, so forget about that interlude. Together though, it sounded very retro and cool. this was actually a pretty decent song imo, but it needs more variety and better mastering.

thx a lot for the review. i just got madtracker2 two days ago so im still learning how to use it properly. the main thing right now that im working on is finding the right instruments for the songs. outside of the computer techno stuff, i play guitar an my brother plays drums, so eventually im gonna try to work it all together. btw, checking out ur stuff now :]

lol idk what to say

that was... surreal. the beauty of random chords, notes, and shrieks is astonishing. just quit your jibba jabba, and you get a 4 from me lol

check out my stuff :)

the beginnning was sweet, but i dont like the rest

yeah, i did not like any of those gay angelic synths/pads you introduced after the first few seconds, it just sounded retarded after the beginning. however, the intro could have stood as a base for a really sweet track imo. sorry for being too critical :P

check my stuff plz [at least, in a few days, when my newest songs wont be loops and crappy experiments] :)
