woaahh trippy

the really fast arpeggios and repeated notes were crazyyy and the speed and energy of this song is overwhelming!!!

just--it seems a little random at times, and the beat was jst kinda mehhh. i say, glitchier, and more breakbeat-y!! but still, a solid song :D

check my mac8 contest submission :)

errrr

this is kinda insane haha. a fun little loop, a bit unsubstantial and wacky sounding for me though haha.

check my stuff out plz:)

coooool!!

oh man this sounds so tight. reminds me of "clear" by cybotron because of the snappy hat that plays every 16th note. and the swing of the bass synth is tight. plus, the glitchy sounds just exude with robotic awesomeness.

yeah, the only thing id deduct on is that it is a little too repetitive. maybe use more of those synth voices? that would make some more coolness as well, because where they are now, thats tight too. yay for robots!!

yumm

hah this sounds so old school, the cheesy trumpets and timpanis and all. which is tight!

just, some constructive crit: i think some elements were too soft like the triangle-esque thing and the cymbal... so some re-eqing may be nice on those too. and, the electric guitar thing at teh beginning sounds kinda painful lolll

but you definately got the triumphant, brave, EPIC, AWESOME feel right here dude! gj. btw, thanx for the rev, i left a response to answer ur question [hint i use reason =P]

itsameyayo responds:

Oh, haha, that's cool. Reason is a cool program, I'm just too lazy to earn the money for it, lol.

-Well, some of the elements of the song, I did want kinda soft, but the electric guitar, yeah, that's been tough. I'll have to re-EQ it again, but for the moment, I got a whole bunch of themes to write for this game, having 6 misfit superheros and all :P

ineresting

haha i didnt see a trance remix of this song coming, and it sounds pretty cool! just, for some reason it seems like the vox are half a beat off and the intense backtrack and beat sometimes drowned out the vox IMHO. Also, the "how you like it daddy"'s weren't at the right pitch so it sounded a little bit off because of that. thats my constructive crit, otherwise the instrumentation is rock solid! gj.

[check out my submission for the contest too haha]

Psybot responds:

hehe, dance is what i do =P

The vox is right where i want it. the thing about the pitch on the "how you like it daddy"... i found it pretty difficult to find the right tone for it. this is the best i could get.
but i know that its drowned sometimes by the beat. but i cant hear that as well as you can i guess.
i did my best on this peice and i guess you did the same.

i'll check it out!

cooool

i think the lead synth that plays two-noted chords is too loud and too dry for everything else. but otherwise, this was pretty cool! it reminds me of boards of canada - sounds kinda retro and modern at the same time, and a little bit enchanting like that. i think it repeated a little too much without significant change, though, but thats jst me. gj overall!

chec kmy stuff out plz :)

ericdrebin responds:

Yeah, you're right. I should've turned down the level on that. Unfortunately, my computer crashed and I lost most of my files, so this is how the song is going to have to stay.
Thanks for the Boards of Canada comparison, it's very flattering.
This song is a bit too repetitive. I originally intended on making it into a rap beat for a friend of mine, but it just didn't feel right, so I made it into a pop song thingey, instead.
Thanks for a kind and candid review.

very nice

the beat was nice, clear, and strong, i think the main thing to fix up is that it seemed to be a bit too loud compared to everything. the arrangement of notes was kinda strange, which is good in this case since it jst makes it sound kinda delirious lol. gj on that! [caffeine? i don tthink this one.]

check my stuff out plz :) [in terms of hiphop i've done one thing... it may make you lol]

RapFiend responds:

Absolutely I agree! I blame the shitty mix on how it was encoded!

immersive

the soundscapes you made in this one were really nicely textured, and the piano stutters/noise/volume modulation [like when some pad stutters at 1:18... that was cool] throuhgout the piece really makes this sound distrubing. i think to improve it you should make better use of bass to make an earth-shattering feel. but really good ambient! it really gets the mood on, and thats what i think makes it great.

BAL-Ambi responds:

thank you for the review and i see what you mean about the bass but i didnt want to over power it so people couldnt hear the treble as a good song as both bass and treble am i right? so i decided to balance it out well :)

thanks again for the review

keep up your good work mate!

and ill try the same!

interesting

this sounded pretty nice. i like the parts where the lead synth pitch bends down, but i think the entire synth is too loud, high, and lo-fi synthetic so it gets kinda annoying. i liked the beatwork tho, and the basslien could ahve been stronger. the arragement of the song/melody was nice too. gj!!

lol

this was really mellow and fun to listen to :) jst, something didnt rub me right with the lead synth and bassline--they sounded too smarmy and smug--but the actual arrangement is nice :) also it got a little repetitive after a while [but that probably more because this sounds structured for lyrics to be on top, but aloen it gets a little old.] gj!!
