wow

so you basically took the reason 3.0 demo song, took off some instruments and made it a little faster? weaaakk.

decent

very emotional, i have to say. but its the kind of emotion only a techno song can have since its all kinda overly melodramatic and loud, so yeah i suggest techno. but i also suggest laying off the reverb a bit lol but the arrangement was very nice. yay!

funky.

i liked the various synths and pads, they made a good atmosphere, and the retro-sounding drums/interesting drum pattern were good. overall this was a pretty nice track, but idk, something just felt.... missing, hence the 9. i cant put my finger on it tho. lol

and yes i can read adn listen to ur music simultaneously. in fact, i can write too :DD

I actually made the didgeridoo.

yeah, those samples are pretty lame

i know im pointing out the obvious. but the samples are pretty much too lame to sound interesting lol like that lame fiddle thing is just kind of obnoxious lol doesnt sound like something that should come out of reason :P idk, i think that with some work the original orkester stuff and plugins within the reason sound bank can sound pretty good. but if you find something tight for reason, tell me haha *shrug*

but the actual note arrangement and stuff was good. :)

yaaa the huge problem with any electronic music program is the lack of ability to emulate real sounds. I have heard of one... it was a plugin for Cubase that supposedly was really good... but I messed around with Cubase before and hated it.

Thanks for the review!

constructive criticism

the underlying concept was good [if not cliched] but here are some tips to improve.

the bass drum and cymbal were really weak. also, try using some claps/snares/hi hats in the drum selection, see some of the top-rated trance songs on ng and ull see.

its good that the synth flows into each other, kinda portamentoish. just, make sure things are balanced out

idk. this song was too short to have any real note-composition interestingness going on, but keep in mind variety later on.

overall this is a good attempt for a new guy on the block. gj ;)

thanks for the tips and i'll check that but trance is not my speciality, its more my video games remixex that are good. anyway I appreciate the help and thanks for the review.

pianoooo

nothing innovative... i woulda appreciate at least some of your own flair/style.

but, regarding the piano itself, some pointers. Do dynamics. meaning either get samples that are sampled at different strengths, or modulate volume [and frequency/resonance/envelope... etc if ur into that :)] that way, it won't sound so flat and dry like urs does.

also, some atmospheric effect/light reverb would make it sound more realistic too.

Yeah i threw this together in like 15 minutes lol. I play this song on the piano all the time so i figured why not? I prob could make it better but im too lazy :D your stuff is good as well i like it alot

good good.

ok, so i think some things--the overall feel of the track was pretty nice, i liked how it sounds. but i think some tweakage can make this better.

-the lead synth sounded a little repetitive and just seemed to basic for my liking.
-the drums were well organized, but sounded a little too synthetic and weak. i say distort it a bit. also, don't use the cymbal rides quite so much ;)
-your bassline can be stronger/more emphasized/beefier imo.
-the overall arrangements of the notes at times seemed a little too random, but it generally set forth a good sound.

so, this track isnt perfect, but it sounds pretty good already. woo go you!!
